ADD LENGTH TOOL
Input: a line (arc) feature layer
Output: a new or updated LENGTH field in the attribute table
Features:

• adds a new LENGTH field or updates an existing LENGTH field with the area of each polygon (in coordinate system units)

Limitations:

• may not work with geodatabases

Getting started. A line feature layer must be loaded into ArcMap in order to use this tool. Select the feature layer you wish to process from the drop-down box and press the OK button. This tool will search for a field called "LENGTH". If it deos not exist, it will be added to the attribute table and populated with line lengths. If it does exist, the field will be updated (all records).
